2009-07-08 FL Technics commences Base Maintenance services for long-range aircraft
FL Technics (Lithuania), a leading aircraft maintenance and technical support centre in Eastern Europe, expands its portfolio of capabilities and starts providing base maintenance services for the long-range Boeing 757-200 aircraft.
FL Technics AB has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Costa Rican (Latin America) aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul company concerning provision of FL Technics services at their technical base. According to this agreement, heavy maintenance for the long-range Boeing 757-200 aircraft (flying capability more than 6000 km) will be carried out at the Costa Rican technical base in accordance with the FL Technics certificate requirements and Lithuanian engineers will control the work processes.
"New technical base in Costa Rica allows FL Technics to offer our clients services that meet strict European quality standards at a much lower price than EU levels. Meanwhile, our main hangars in Lithuania will be further utilized in servicing the medium-range and regional aircrafts. Moving forward, FL Technics services will be provided in both Lithuanian and Costa Rican technical bases, depending on aircraft type” states Valdas Tekorius, CEO of FL Technics.
According to Mr. Tekorius, in addition to already serviced Boeing 737-300/400/500, SAAB 2000, and SAAB 340 type aircraft, by November FL Technics has plans to start heavy maintenance services for Boeing NG family aircraft and during 2010 it will be prepared to service Airbus 320, ATR 42-300/500 and ATR 72-300/500. In May 2009 FL Technics became the exclusive Eastern European representative of Kellstrom Industries (USA), the world’s leading aircraft spare parts supplier, which enabled FL Technics to provide spare parts supply services to its customers.
